Presented by the Shakopee Mdewakanton Sioux Community.\n\nAbout Indian Horse Relay:\n\nIndian Horse Relay is America's first sport. Its history dates back over 400 years when the horse returned to the continent and became part of the culture of the Indian nations and plains.\n\nEach team consists of three horses and four warriors. Riders in full regalia will race bareback on the track and exchange horses at top speeds in front of the grandstand.\n\nThe horse was an important part of the Native American culture\, spiritually and way of life. On many reservations this connection continues today through Relay.\n\nMYSTIC LAKE DERBY\n\nAlso\, featuring the Richest Race of the Season   the $200\,000 Mystic Lake Derby on Saturday\, August 26. Special 6 PM Post Time.\n\nINDIAN MARKET:\n\nEnjoy a unique variety of native american arts and crafts in our Expo Center.
