Savage Fire Department Transition    

**This event has been postponed - check back for the future date!**

Since 1951 Savage Fire Department responded to emergencies in the community with paid on call firefighters.  In 2020 the City supported a transition to a Combination Fire Department which includes full time and part time staff.  This transition, which will be in full effect as of July 1st of this year,  provides staffing in the station ready to respond 24 hours a day and 7 days a week.  Chief Slama will provide a brief presentation on the department changes, the “why” behind thee change, and will answer any questions anyone has related to the Savage Fire Department.  After the presentation, guests will have an opportunity to see the recent modifications to Station 1 to accommodate the new response model.
